Hi Max!
Sun's Gold. Sunday's Started. 3-year-old's Birthday Party. Mickey. Mouse. Bouncy. House.
Everything was Mickey Mouse themed for this year's Big 3!
Grandmas, Grandpa, Great Grandma, Great Grandpa. Cousins. Aunts. Great-Aunts. Great-Uncles. Classmates. Classmates' Parents.
Blew all three candles out with ease.
For all the stress, strain, and worries about preparation, so many people, and weather... it was a day full of smiles.
Happy 3rd my little man!
Love you!
Blessings,
Max's Dad (Michael)

Bath Time! So glad that you love the water!
(see his little horns :) Hi Max!
Well, in the last week, we've had 70-degree weather, 30-degree weather, snow, sleet, rain, cloudiness, and sunshine. It truly is Kansas weather. Springtime is coming.
John Maxwell is doing a videoblog in which he does a video explaining a word. Today, out of the thousands submitted, he picked mine. I sent in 10 words (as requested by the Maxwell Company) and they picked "Selflessness". Many feel that is appropriate for me. Selflessness is a maturity, a self-assured person who gives without thought of reciprocity. You're so comfortable with yourself that you can totally concentrate on the other person and their needs. I love that. Here's the video --> http://johnmaxwellteam.com/selflessness/. Hope you like it. By the way, you may ask if you are named after John Maxwell and the truth is... not really, but it certainly helped cement your name. Adds a lot of power, leadership and credibility to your name. Max is such a wonderful, strong name.
Also, you may have some new subscribers and followers. :) Rene Rodriguez mentioned www.LittleMaher.com at an event with 200 people today.
With Love and To Your Success,
Max's Dad (Michael)

Cutest thing ever...
Hi Max! Just had to share with you. We just finished Max Time - that's time that daddy spends with you. I had the sequence of feeding you, changing you into your pajamas, playing with you, and then giving you milk before bedtime. While I was feeding you, you made the "more" hand sign (hands together) and I fed you more. Soon afterwards, you made a sign I didn't recognize. You put your hands out with your fingers spread out wide. I know milk, more, and high-five. I didn't know this sign. I called your mom. She didn't know either. I kept feeding you applesauce and you kept eating it.
Later, I got you changed and we starting playing in your room. In your room, besides a few toys, you have a bookcase of books - dozens of books - you've always loved books (wonder where you get that?! =0). You went over to the bookcase, grabbed a book, and brought it over to me with a wry smile on your face. I said, "What?"
The book was Baby Signs -Sign Language for Babies. You wanted me to know the sign you made!!! I went through the pages (of a book I didn't even know existed!) and there a few pages in was the hand signal you had made. It was the sign for Done. You were telling me you were finished with your dinner (and dummy me had fed you for 5 more minutes. =0).
Thank you for bringing the book over (and now I have a reference for future signs) and thank you, once again, for teaching me a lesson. I love spending time with you.
To Your Success,
Max's Dad (Michael)

With Max, every day is a Holiday...
Hi Max!We watch Joel Osteen every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. He is such a magnificent speaker with powerful words. I know you aren't understanding it at this point, but I do know that you know down deep inside you that your daddy likes it and feels better for watching it. You watch the screen and smile. Today, you clapped when the others clapped. You're starting to get it... and no wonder...
Today, Joel talked about speaking your blessings. There are people who need your blessing - they need to know how much you love them, like them, respect them, etc. It's more than words. I know you know I love you. You know I expect great things for you in this life and you will do great things. I see you influencing millions with your character, competence, and communication. I see you being an inspiration for others motivating them to live life better. I don't know what realm of life that will be within, that is your choice of course, but I know your life will be bigger than your own. You are going to impact the whole world. You are wonderful. Your demeanor is so positive and happy. You are so smart. I am so proud that you are my son.
On Christmas Day, you will be 14 months old. Christmas has not had the same affect on me the last two years that it did the first 38. The gifts aren't as special. It's not the gift. It's the gifting. It is WHO gave the gift and the THOUGHTFULNESS of the giver. It's not the gift. It's the giver. You are the best son a father could ever ask for and I've found that all the material things in the world don't matter. You, your love, your progress and growth, and your health are everything. This has translated to my feeling about other people. I see beyond the material to the character, the love, the importance, the soul. You have taught me much about Christmas. Max, every day is a Holiday with you. Every day is Christmas, New Years, Easter, Independence Day, etc. with you.
Max, I love you. You are special. You will achieve greatness. You are greatness. You embody excellence. You aren't interested in judgment or discrimination. You love unconditionally and are loved unconditionally. You are forever curious. You seek to understand before being understood. You are a great listener. You are Buzz Lightyear, Speedy McQueen, and Superman. You are my superhero now and forever. I know I hug you and kiss you and at times that is interrupting your play time, but just know it is because I love you.
To Your Success,
Max's Dad (Michael)
